Chamber Orchestra Auditions for Fall 2025

Enrollment Instructions:
All incoming 8th-grade students will enroll in Freshman Orchestra.

• Freshman may audition for the Chamber Orchestra in the Fall semester to potentially join the Chamber Orchestra in their Freshman Spring semester.

All current 9-11th grade students will initially enroll in Concert Orchestra.

• If you successfully audition for Advanced (Chamber) Orchestra, Mr. Hanf and the OE Counseling Department will change your schedule accordingly.

Audition Instructions:

• This is a video-recorded audition.
• Use a quality recording device to record.
• Record all parts of your audition in ONE file and email the file to Mr. Hanf at:

  • You must play the scale and BOTH excerpts.
• When you record, take a moment between parts to have your best performance of each scale and excerpt.

Expectations for Chamber Orchestra:

• Must be willing to enroll for the entire school year.
• Must be willing to attend class consistently and arrive prepared and on time.
• Must be willing to audition for All-District Honors Orchestra and/or prepare a solo/ensemble.
• Must be willing to perform in OE Symphonic Orchestra 2nd-3rd quarter (when applicable).
