Freshman Orchestra
All 9th grade students enroll in Freshman Orchestra. Freshman Orchestra is a technique-based class that bridges the gap between intermediate and advanced string techniques. This group performs string orchestra literature Grades 2.5 - 3. We also focus on other skills including 2 and 3-Octave Scales, Shifting, Self-Tuning, and Tone Production. Students will also have opportunities to participate in Pit Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Regional and State Solo & Ensemble Festival.
