Director

Michael Hanf began playing the violin when he was only 5 years old. He started a private studio for teaching violin, viola and cello in 2001. Michael earned a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Evangel University in Springfield, MO in 2005. He also earned a master's in Violin Performance from the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville in 2008. He has performed with the Springfield Symphony, the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, the Northwest Arkansas Symphony, the Benton County Civic Orchestra and the Southeast Missouri State University Symphony Orchestra. Michael has taught orchestra in public schools since 2006 in: Rogers, Arkansas; Hazelwood (St. Louis), Missouri; Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and is currently teaching at Olathe East High School in Olathe, Kansas. He is married to his wife, Sarah, and together they have three daughters: Morgan, Olivia, and Brooklynn.
